A red mountain flower – Restore and Fortify Magicka, plus Ravage Magicka and Damage Health.

Red Mountain Flower is the magicka-flavoured member of the mountain flower family. Restore Magicka and Fortify Magicka make it a cheap mage favourite – just be careful which ingredient you pair it with, because Ravage Magicka and Damage Health can sneak into the result.

Alchemy effects

Fortify Magicka – raises your maximum Magicka for a while. Also on: Briar Heart, Ectoplasm, Histcarp, Jazbay Grapes, Tundra Cotton, Void Salts.
Damage Health – a poison effect that deals instant damage to the target’s Health. Also on: Crimson Nirnroot, Deathbell, Ectoplasm, Falmer Ear, Human Flesh, Human Heart, Imp Stool, Jarrin Root, Nightshade, Nirnroot, River Betty, Skeever Tail, Small Antlers, Troll Fat, Void Salts.

Along the road between Riften and Helgen, and in the mountain-flower field at Goldenglow Estate.
Two in the shrine past the Word Wall at the end of Bleak Falls Barrow.
Shoreline Lover’s Tent in the Pale, Left Hand Mine and Yngvild near the boss chest.
Dawnguard: at least three in the Ancestor Glade. Hearthfire: adopted children sometimes give you one as a gift.
