Daedric Artifacts in Skyrim

All Daedric artifacts in Skyrim – which Prince they belong to, the quest that rewards them, what they do, and how to unlock the Oblivion Walker achievement.

Sixteen of the seventeen Daedric Princes have an artifact in Skyrim. Each one is the reward for a Daedric quest – and the Princes rarely ask for anything pleasant. Three quests make you choose between two rewards: “The Black Star”, “Ill Met by Moonlight” and “A Daedra’s Best Friend”.

The Oblivion Walker achievement

Collect 15 Daedric artifacts on one character to unlock Oblivion Walker. You don’t have to keep them all at once – you just need to have owned each one at some point. A few things to know:

  • The Skeleton Key doesn’t count.
  • The Rueful Axe from “A Daedra’s Best Friend” isn’t an artifact – choose the Masque if you’re hunting the achievement.
  • It’s possible to get both of Hircine’s artifacts, and both count – a useful backup if you miss another one.
  • You get the separate achievement Daedric Influence for your very first artifact.

Good to know

  • Artifacts can’t be disenchanted, so you can’t learn their enchantments.
  • Guards sometimes comment when you walk around with certain artifacts equipped.
