Taproot is shaped like a spriggan’s heart, and that’s exactly where it comes from: slain spriggans. It’s worth 15 gold and has the same four effects as Dwarven Oil – Restore Magicka, Regenerate Magicka, Fortify Illusion and Weakness to Magic.
Alchemy effects
The effects are listed in the order you discover them by eating the ingredient or using it in a potion. Two ingredients make a potion when they share at least one effect.
- Weakness to Magic – a poison effect that makes the target more vulnerable to magic. Also on: Creep Cluster, Dwarven Oil, Jazbay Grapes, Rock Warbler Egg, Salt Pile, Scaly Pholiota, Torchbug Thorax.
- Fortify Illusion – makes your Illusion spells stronger for a while. Also on: Dragon’s Tongue, Dwarven Oil, Mora Tapinella, Scaly Pholiota.
- Regenerate Magicka – makes your Magicka regenerate faster for a while. Also on: Dwarven Oil, Fire Salts, Garlic, Jazbay Grapes, Moon Sugar, Salt Pile.
- Restore Magicka – instantly restores spent Magicka. Also on: Briar Heart, Creep Cluster, Dwarven Oil, Ectoplasm, Elves Ear, Fire Salts, Frost Salts, Giant Lichen, Grass Pod, Human Flesh, Moon Sugar, Mora Tapinella, Pearl, Red Mountain Flower, Vampire Dust, White Cap.
