Histcarp is a small pond fish you can catch by hand in shallow ponds, rivers and lakes all over Skyrim. Its standout effect is Fortify Magicka, a bit unusual for a fish. Waterbreathing also comes in handy if you plan to dive for sunken treasure.
Alchemy effects
The effects are listed in the order you discover them by eating the ingredient or using it in a potion. Two ingredients make a potion when they share at least one effect.
- Restore Stamina – instantly restores spent Stamina. - Fortify Magicka – raises your maximum Magicka for a while. Also on: Briar Heart, Ectoplasm, Jazbay Grapes, Red Mountain Flower, Tundra Cotton, Void Salts.
- Damage Stamina Regen – a poison effect that slows the target’s Stamina regeneration for a short time. Also on: Creep Cluster, Daedra Heart, Frost Mirriam, Giant’s Toe, Juniper Berries, Large Antlers, Silverside Perch, Skeever Tail, Wheat.
- Waterbreathing – lets you breathe underwater for a while. Also on: Chicken’s Egg, Nordic Barnacle.
