Beehive Husk is the papery shell left over from a beehive. At a full 1.0 weight it’s one of the heaviest ingredients in the game, so it’s not something you carry by the dozen. Its effects lean towards stealthy, lightly armoured characters.
Alchemy effects
The effects are listed in the order you discover them by eating the ingredient or using it in a potion. Two ingredients make a potion when they share at least one effect.
- Resist Poison – reduces the effect of poisons on you for a while. Also on: Charred Skeever Hide, Falmer Ear, Garlic, Grass Pod, Mudcrab Chitin, Slaughterfish Egg, Thistle Branch, Troll Fat.
- Fortify Light Armor – temporarily raises your Light Armor skill. Also on: Hawk Feathers, Honeycomb, Luna Moth Wing, Skeever Tail.
- Fortify Sneak – makes you harder to detect for a while. Also on: Abecean Longfin, Frost Mirriam, Hawk Feathers, Human Flesh, Powdered Mammoth Tusk, Purple Mountain Flower.
- Fortify Destruction – makes your Destruction spells stronger for a while. Also on: Ectoplasm, Glow Dust, Glowing Mushroom, Nightshade, Wisp Wrappings.
All four effects are beneficial, so Beehive Husk is safe to throw into any potion.
Tips and trivia
Its Resist Poison and Fortify Sneak values are only half as strong as on most other ingredients with those effects. Players who build sneaky characters often mix it with Bear Claws and Hawk Feathers for a Fortify Sneak / Light Armor / One-handed potion.
