Carlotta Valentia is an Imperial merchant in Whiterun, selling fruit, vegetables and bread from a stall in the market. She is a single mother to Mila, and making enough to feed her daughter is pretty much all she cares about.
Where to find them
During the day she works her produce stall in the Whiterun marketplace, loudly advertising fresh goods (mostly fresh, she admits). She lives in a house in the city with Mila.

A Few Words with You: Mikael, the bard at the Bannered Mare, won’t leave Carlotta alone. She asks you to persuade him to give it a rest.

Carlotta sells food: fruit, vegetables and freshly baked loaves.
Personality & relationships
Carlotta claims half the men in Whiterun have proposed to her, and she isn’t interested in any of them; no man is going to wreck the family she has built. She calls Mila her little fairy and occasionally gives in and takes her to the tavern for supper. With customers she’s businesslike: she brushes off Nazeem‘s sniping about her produce, explains to Olfina Gray-Mane that prices are up because thinned road patrols have left farms open to bandits, and swaps notes on green apples with Ysolda. She shoos away Brenuin the beggar, but quietly promises him whatever doesn’t sell.
Good to know
If the Stormcloaks take Whiterun, Carlotta complains that their guards keep courting her and that at least Jarl Balgruuf‘s men bathed regularly. Her bed is one of the few you can actually sleep in.
