Gerda is a Nord maid who keeps Dragonsreach, the Jarl’s palace in Whiterun, looking fit for a ruler. She may only be a servant, but she treats her broom as seriously as the Jarl treats his throne.
Where to find them
Gerda works from 8 AM to 8 PM, sweeping the floors of Dragonsreach. After her shift she heads to the Jarl’s Quarters inside the palace to sleep.
Quests
She has no quests, but she is in Dragonsreach during Battle for Whiterun if you attack with the Stormcloaks, and like the other staff she begs for mercy.
Personality & relationships
Gerda is proud of her job and of the Jarl she serves. She will tell you that keeping Dragonsreach tidy day and night is her task, and that being a servant among lords doesn’t make her duties any less important.
She is also refreshingly polite. Where her colleague Fianna scolds you about dirty boots, Gerda simply says that if her cleaning is in your way, you only have to ask and she’ll move along.
Good to know
Friendly or not, she notices thieves. Pocket something in Dragonsreach and Gerda may send hired thugs after you.
