Frothar is a young Nord boy and the eldest son of Balgruuf the Greater, Jarl of Whiterun. That makes him the heir to the Jarl’s seat, even if for now his biggest challenge is putting up with his sister.
Where to find them
He lives in Dragonsreach and is usually seen wandering around the palace halls.
Personality & relationships
Frothar shares the palace with his sister Dagny and his half-brother Nelkir. Unlike them, he doesn’t bother looking down his nose at you. In fact he barely talks to you at all, and the little he says is about himself.
He saves his opinions for his sister. In one overheard exchange, Dagny fumes that their father still hasn’t delivered the dress he promised her. Frothar points out that dresses take time and she should be patient; when she keeps whining, he calls her a spoiled baby, and she threatens to run and tell their father. Classic royal sibling diplomacy.
