Dagny is a young Nord girl living in Dragonsreach, the palace of Whiterun. She is the daughter of Jarl Balgruuf the Greater and sister to Frothar and her half-brother Nelkir.
Where to find them
She stays inside Dragonsreach with the rest of the Jarl’s family.
Personality & relationships
Like her brothers, Dagny is thoroughly spoiled. She thinks Whiterun is a skeeverhole with no decent sweetrolls, may treat you like one of the servants, and blames the war for holding up a new dress from Solitude. When Frothar tells her to be patient about that dress and calls her a spoiled baby, she threatens to tell their father so he will tan his hide.
Her tone changes a bit as events unfold: once Odahviing is trapped in Dragonsreach, she sulks that Father won’t let her go and see the dragon, and during a Stormcloak Battle for Whiterun she pleads for mercy.
Good to know
Dagny is essential and can’t be killed. Data left in the game files show she was meant to have a horse named Karinda.
