Fianna is a Breton maid who handles the cleaning and other chores in Dragonsreach, the Jarl’s palace in Whiterun. She thinks highly of Jarl Balgruuf the Greater and treats the floors of his hall as personal territory.
Where to find them
She works inside Dragonsreach, moving around the hall as she goes about her tasks. Look for the woman with the broom and the stern expression.
Quests
Fianna has no quests of her own, but she is present during Battle for Whiterun if you storm the city with the Stormcloaks, where she pleads for mercy.
Personality & relationships
Fianna is deadly serious about cleanliness. Her first instinct when you walk in is to warn you about tracking dirt onto her freshly scrubbed floor, and she grumbles that the city is crawling with soldiers who never clean up after themselves. If you just want small talk, expect a curt “what do you want” kind of greeting.
All that hard work seems to cost her some sleep: her eyes are red with dark circles underneath. Between the war, the soldiers and the dragon-slaying visitors, you can hardly blame her.
Good to know
Her fellow maid Gerda also keeps Dragonsreach clean, but Gerda is the friendlier of the two.
