Grelka is a Nord trader with an armor stall in the middle of the Riften marketplace. She’s blunt and broke, and she’s openly saving up to get out of Skyrim. Customer service is not her strong point, and she’d be the first to tell you.
Where to find them
During the day she’s at her booth in the market square. She sleeps at Haelga’s Bunkhouse.
Services
She sells armor and weapons and trains Light Armor up to Expert level, promising to keep you quick on your feet. Whatever you pay for lessons goes straight into her trading purse, so after a session she can afford to buy more of your loot. Steal from her, though, and she may send hired thugs after you.
Follower & marriage
The game data lists Grelka as a marriage candidate, so she’s one of Riften’s possible spouses if you go courting.
Personality & relationships
Ask why she treats customers like this and she’ll explain that she has hawked her goods all over Skyrim for barely any profit, couldn’t care less whether you’re happy, and just needs coin. With a civil war tearing the land apart and dragons back in the skies, she thinks staying is madness. Chatting with Brand-Shei about bad business, she raises a mocking toast to Ulfric Stormcloak. She waves off Dinya Balu‘s advice to visit the temple and grumbles about Maven Black-Briar breathing down her neck.
Her ugliest side comes out at the Bunkhouse, where she picks on the Argonian Madesi, calling him ‘greenskin’ and mocking the way he eats. She bristles when Drifa hints she might know about a missing axe, calls Bolli a deadbeat in front of Nivenor, sends her helper Shadr on a delivery she won’t let him ask about, and wonders aloud why Haelga needs a leather harness.
Good to know
- Unused dialogue suggests she was first meant to be the miner at Shor’s Stone. She even has a scripted chat with Filnjar about her parents near Darkwater Crossing, but it never triggers in normal play.
- She and Mjoll the Lioness don’t think much of each other.
