Drifa

Drifa is a Nord pawnbroker who co-owns the Pawned Prawn in Riften with her husband Bersi Honey-Hand, and who may be hiding an expensive secret.

Drifa is a Nord pawnbroker in Riften who co-owns The Pawned Prawn with her husband, Bersi Honey-Hand. She’s warm, devoted and worried sick about him. If you read between the lines of the shop’s ledger, she’s also keeping a pricey little secret of her own.

Where to find them

She spends most of the day inside The Pawned Prawn with Bersi, and now and then wanders out for a stroll around the marketplace. She has no services or dialogue options of her own, so if you want to trade, talk to Bersi.

Personality & relationships

Drifa thinks the world of her husband and hates watching him wear himself out keeping the shop going while the Thieves Guild keeps taking its cut. She’d like to ask Jarl Laila Law-Giver for help, though Bersi has a much lower opinion of the Jarl. She’s also a keen follower of Mara.

The twist: Bersi spots a 300-septim entry for ‘spices’ in the books, in Drifa’s handwriting. Her shaky explanation about a special order for someone in Whiterun doesn’t sound great, and the bottle of skooma tucked under the couple’s bed suggests where the money really went.

Around town she asks Grelka about a missing iron war axe (Grelka does not enjoy the implication), invites Madesi to look at the Prawn’s jewelry, gushes over Marise Aravel‘s suspiciously fresh apples and pries into Nivenor‘s marriage to Bolli.
