Bolli is a Nord who lives in Riften and owns the Riften Fishery. He is a cheerful lover of fishing on Lake Honrich and gives away a good chunk of his money, though his home life is a lot messier than his friendly greetings suggest.
Where to find them
He lives in his house in Riften with his wife Nivenor and runs the fishery, where he prefers pointing at things to doing the hauling himself, at least according to his wife.
Quests
- Caught Red Handed – Haelga gave Bolli a Mark of Dibella in return for an intimate favour. Svana Far-Shield may ask you to get it from him so she can embarrass her aunt.
- Special Delivery – Bolli asks you to bring his purchase agreement to Kleppr in Markarth.
Personality & relationships
Bolli supplies Marise Aravel with the fish she sells in the market. He has been donating to the Temple of Mara because Maramal helped him through a rough time, which Nivenor finds ridiculous. Their marriage has gone cold and both have strayed; his affair is with Haelga, who keeps pushing him to run away with her while he insists he can’t leave his wife and business. He still grumbles when a 300-septim tailoring bill from Madesi turns up for Nivenor’s spending, then softens when told it’s to look good for him.
Around town he chats with Brand-Shei about the dragon at Helgen, argues with Grelka over leather armour that is already falling apart, and gives his employee Wujeeta a second chance when she shows up late.
Good to know
If you fail to persuade him in Caught Red Handed, he claims he has only ever slept with his wife Drifa. That is almost certainly a slip-up, since Drifa is married to Bersi Honey-Hand.
