Hafjorg is an elderly Nord who helps her husband Elgrim run Elgrim’s Elixirs, the alchemy shop down by the canals of Riften. Like him, she’s listed as ‘Elder’ in the game data. She can brew a handful of simple potions, but she’s the first to say she’s no master alchemist.
Where to find them
Usually behind the shop counter, though she’ll trade with you anywhere inside the store.
Quests
Truth Ore Consequences – A small favour: fetch an ore sample from Filnjar in Shor’s Stone so Elgrim can appraise it. She pays you with four random potions, and the task counts as helping a local on the road to becoming Thane.
Services
She sells potions and alchemy ingredients. She and Elgrim share the same stock and the same purse, so the only real reason to pick her is that she’s the politer of the two.
Personality & relationships
Hafjorg is pleasant to you and fond of her husband, even when he drives her up the wall. She can’t stand living below street level. She warned Elgrim the dirt and damp would be the death of him, and she thinks his talk about light ruining his mixtures is rubbish. Who wants to live like a skeever, after all?
She picked up a few tricks from the books lying around the shop, and wishes Elgrim had spent more time teaching her instead of Ingun Black-Briar. Jealous? Certainly not, she insists: Elgrim can barely put his own shoes on. He just raves about the girl’s talent behind her back and never tells her to her face.
