Gisli is a Nord noblewoman in Solitude and the younger sister of Thane Erikur. She lives with him in Erikur’s House and runs his business affairs, though she can barely stand him – and it drives her up the wall that everyone calls her ‘Erikur’s sister’ instead of her own name.

Personality & relationships
Gisli is sarcasm in human form. She introduces herself as ‘Erikur’s sister’ with a sigh, compares her brother’s trustworthiness to that of a shady gold merchant, and promises to tick ‘talk to random stranger’ off her to-do list. Tell her she has a bad attitude and she sends you to the bards for fake cheer, to Noster Eagle-Eye for a dose of honest misery, or to Evette San for spiced wine.
She keeps Erikur’s books – warehouse profits and rents from his properties – and needles him every time he wants to squeeze the tenants for more. When he complains that the elves at Radiant Raiment overcharge him, she reminds him that he keeps raising their rent. In her opinion, the real power at court since Torygg’s death belongs to Falk Firebeard, not her ‘pompous little fop’ of a brother. Even so, if Erikur dies she admits he didn’t deserve it.
Good to know
Cut content suggests Gisli was meant to become Erikur’s steward if he ever replaced Elisif as Jarl, which is why the game files tag her with a steward faction. That storyline never made it into the game.
