Jala is a Nord food vendor in Solitude, loudly advertising apples, tomatoes, leeks and cabbages ‘fresh off the boat’ from her market stall. She lives with Ahtar, with whom she is in a relationship.
Where to find them
At her stand in the market during the day; at home at night. She also turns up at Roggvir‘s execution, booing him from the crowd.

Personality & relationships
Jala hates the Stormcloaks, who killed her brother in Whiterun, and invites you to gut one for her if you get the chance. Her other worry is the Blackblood Marauders, who keep attacking ships along the coast. After you finish Lights Out! she is thrilled that her shipments arrive on time again.
She is a handy source of gossip: Jaree-Ra asked her to keep an eye out for newcomers, and Viarmo bought an apple while hunting for a new student. She gives the shy bard Ataf fishing advice and tells him to eat more tomatoes. When young Svari steals an apple from her cart, it becomes a family matter for Greta and Addvar.
Good to know
She defends herself only with an iron dagger. If you kill certain people in Solitude, Jala may send you a courier note thanking you.
