Jawanan is a Redguard who came to Solitude from Hammerfell to learn bowmaking from Fihada, whose skill as a fletcher drew him all that way. He finds the work hard and sometimes dull, but loves the idea that a well-made arrow flies like a god’s fury.
Where to find them
Wandering the market or working in the Fletcher during the day; he usually unwinds at The Winking Skeever in the evening.
Services
While Fihada is alive, Jawanan just sends you to his master for supplies. If Fihada dies, Jawanan takes over the shop and sells bows, arrows and fletching supplies.
Personality & relationships
Jawanan is friendly, curious and still a bit overwhelmed by all the new faces. He is fascinated by the country: he has heard of a city, Windhelm, that is practically white with this thing called snow, and of a ruin far to the west, Volskygge, with a black wall that speaks in the dragon tongue. Mention Helgen and the dragon, and he figures the shop will soon be selling arrows by the bushel.
He gets on well with Fihada, who tells him to work slowly so the wood doesn’t warp. Jawanan admits he is good with bows but not with people, and wishes he had his master’s charm. Like everyone else, he is saving his first spiced wine from Evette San for the Burning of King Olaf.

Oddly, hearing about Volskygge from him does not add it to your map.
