Freir is a Nord priestess who serves at the Temple of the Divines in Solitude, where she greets visitors and invites them to pray at the shrines. Restoration is her area of expertise.
Where to find them
Inside the temple, near the shrines. If somebody from the temple is attacked, she may also come looking for you to demand an apology.
Personality & relationships
Freir is warm, devout and quite content with the way the temple runs things. When the acolyte Silana Petreia argues that the temple should be doing more for Solitude’s hungry and jobless, Freir points out that they took Silana herself in and are open to anyone equally dedicated – but praises her compassion as a gift from Kynareth.
She and the priest Rorlund call each other ‘my love’ and ‘darling’. When he frets that the war has emptied the pews, she reassures him that more people than ever are coming to her for the wisdom of the hearth goddesses – it is just that so many men are away fighting.
Ask her about the shrines and she explains that worshippers sometimes receive blessings, different for each god. If you point out the empty alcove at the front, she explains that it once held Talos, whose worship was banned by the White-Gold Concordat with the Aldmeri Dominion. Talos was a great man and Emperor, she says, but not a god, whatever the Stormcloaks may want.
Good to know
She blesses visitors in the name of the Eight or Nine Divines, depending on how the civil war has gone.
