Dryston is a Breton Forsworn living in The Warrens of Markarth. He’s muscle rather than brains, and he’s sent to scare you off at exactly the wrong moment – for him.
Where to find them
Near The Warrens. After the brawl, if he’s still alive, he moves into Weylin‘s old room. If you enter that room before starting the Forsworn Conspiracy, you’ll find him already there, peaceful until you talk to him – which kicks off the quest.
Quests
- The Forsworn Conspiracy – after Weylin’s attack on Margret, you search his room and learn he was paid by someone called “N”. As you leave The Warrens, Dryston blocks your path and challenges you. Win the brawl and he reveals that his orders came from Nepos the Nose. You can also pickpocket or loot Dryston’s Note for the same information.
- The Fishing Job – he can turn up as a radiant target for the Thieves Guild.
- Rescue Mission – he can also be picked for this Companions radiant quest.
Good to know
- His health can randomly refill during the brawl; hitting him after that counts as assault and turns the guards on you.
