Ghorza gra-Bagol is an Orc blacksmith working one of Markarth‘s main forges. She is skilled, impatient and saddled with the least talented apprentice in the city, Tacitus Sallustius. Expect to overhear her yelling at him to hit the metal harder.
Where to find them
During the day she works her forge in the city. At night she sleeps in Understone Keep, in a bed near her brother’s forge.
Quests
Ghorza believes Tacitus might learn better from a book than from her example, so she asks you to find a copy of The Last Scabbard of Akrash. Bring it to her and she rewards you by teaching you a thing or two, raising your Smithing skill.
Services
She sells weapons, armour and smithing materials, and trains Smithing at Common level (up to 50). Steal from her and she may send hired thugs after you.
Follower & marriage
Ghorza can be married. Wear an Amulet of Mara and finish her book request first, and she becomes a candidate.
Personality & relationships
Ghorza grew up in an Orc stronghold, where every girl took her turn at the forge. She came to resent the tribe’s strict traditions and had no intention of ending up as a minor chief’s third wife, so she left with her brother Moth gro-Bagol. The two joined the Imperial Legion and spent about ten years there mastering their craft.
She calls Tacitus useless, more or less every day, yet she keeps trying to teach him anyway. Her brother shares her opinion of the boy, though he phrases it a little more kindly.
