Donnel is an old Breton Reachman who has quietly cleaned the Treasury House in Markarth for the Silver-Blood family for decades. He works alongside Nana Ildene, and if you ask, he’ll just mumble that he works for the Silver-Bloods and helps clean.
Where to find them
In the Treasury House, home of Thonar Silver-Blood and his wife Betrid.
Quests
The Forsworn Conspiracy – while you dig into the attack by Weylin, the trail can take you to Thonar. Push him too hard and Donnel and Nana Ildene drop the act: they’re Forsworn agents, they murder Betrid, and they attack everyone in the house.
Personality & relationships
For most of the game Donnel is about as quiet as an NPC can be – which is exactly the point. In a fight he’s no pushover for an old man: he uses a steel dagger, casts Flames and Oakflesh, and can raise a zombie to help him.
Good to know
- The game files label his race as “Elder”, like many older characters; he’s presumably a Breton.
