Nana Ildene is a Breton Reachwoman who has kept the Treasury House in Markarth spotless for close to twenty years. She calls everyone “dear”, fusses over the staff and promises to look after them. It’s a lovely act – because underneath the apron she is a Forsworn agent who has been waiting inside the Silver-Blood household all along.
Where to find them
She works inside the Treasury House, cleaning and tending to the Silver-Blood family and their receptionist Rhiada.
Quests
The Forsworn Conspiracy: as soon as you start talking to Thonar Silver-Blood, Ildene and her fellow agent Donnel drop the disguise, go after Thonar’s wife Betrid and then turn on you. There’s no talking her down – she has to be killed.
Personality & relationships
Her chats with the household drip with irony once you know the truth. She reassures a nervous Rhiada that she’ll warn her if the Forsworn ever come knocking, and tells Thonar that only a madwoman would betray his family.
Good to know
Hoping to save Betrid by striking first? It doesn’t work: if you kill Ildene and Donnel before they draw weapons, Betrid still dies in her chair.
