The skeever is Skyrim’s giant rat and probably the first creature most players kill – right in the caves under Helgen during Unbound. They aren’t dangerous on their own, but they come in groups and can give you a disease.
Where to find them
Caves, sewers, cellars and ruins everywhere. The Ratway beneath Riften earned its name honestly.
Abilities & attacks
- Bite that can give you Ataxia (worse lockpicking and pickpocketing)
- Often appear in groups
How to beat it
Any weapon will do. If you catch Ataxia, pray at a shrine or drink a Cure Disease potion. The stronger Venomfang Skeever (lesser soul) shows up in the Honningbrew Meadery basement during "Dampened Spirits".
