Lund’s Hut is a small one-room shack in the hills northwest of Rorikstead. Its owner, Lund, is still at home – lying on his bed, very much deceased – and the place has been taken over by skeevers. It is a quick stop, but there is a quest item here, a book worth grabbing and some fun little details for players who like environmental storytelling.
What you’ll find
- A few skeevers making themselves at home.
- Lund’s body on the bed.
- A usable cooking pot and some common food.
- A handful of books, alchemy ingredients and two bottles of Honningbrew Mead.
- An unlocked chest, plus a key-locked chest tied to a quest.
- Outside to the northwest: a small tumulus with a silver ring tucked behind a basket of bread and apples.
Quests
“When the Cat’s Away” sends you here: the key-locked chest holds the set of Silver Armor that the quest is about.
Notable items
- The Real Barenziah, Book I
- Silver ring at the tumulus outside
- Two bottles of Honningbrew Mead
Tips
Nothing inside the hut is owned, so you can loot everything without the theft warning lighting up – Lund is not going to complain. The skeevers are no threat, but if you get stuck in place after leaving because of skeever corpses around the door, reloading your save is the reported fix. Don’t forget the ring outside; it is easy to miss behind the bread.
Good to know
- A mounted skeever head hangs above the fireplace – possibly a hint at how Lund met his end.
- Three food bowls on the floor and a piece of cheese in a pot under the bed suggest the skeevers may once have been Lund’s pets. Sweet, in a deeply unsettling way.
- Walk in with the Spectral Assassin at your side and he remarks that he can smell murder in the air.
