Thrynn is a Nord member of the Thieves Guild in Riften. While the rest of the guild prides itself on stealth, Thrynn is the one they send when somebody simply needs to be roughed up. Subtle he is not.
Where to find them
Thrynn hangs out with the rest of the guild in their hideout beneath Riften.
Quests
He has no quest of his own, but has a few lines during Under New Management, including a cheerful suggestion that the new Guild Master should buy everyone drinks.
Personality & relationships
Before the guild, Thrynn ran with a small bandit clan in the Pale, and he’ll admit the early years were a lot of fun. That ended when the clan’s leader, Garthek, ordered the men to kill the women and children left after a caravan raid. Thrynn refused, Garthek ordered him killed too, and the clan tore itself apart. Thrynn left Garthek’s head on a pike at the caravan wreckage and moved on. Brynjolf later recruited him because the guild needed muscle, and he has also done strong-arm work for Maven Black-Briar when she wanted to keep her name out of things.
He has little patience for Vipir the Fleet‘s tall tales, and when Cynric Endell asks a cheeky question about bandit life, Thrynn simply calls him an idiot.
Good to know
Unlike most guild members, Thrynn doesn’t swap weapons as you level up.
