Tythis Ulen is a Dunmer living in Riften, and he is not shy about telling you he regrets it. He came all the way from Mournhold in Morrowind, earns a bit of coin at the Riften Fishery, and keeps wondering out loud whether he should just go home.
Where to find them
During the day he tends to wander the marketplace or swing an axe at the woodpile outside the Black-Briar Meadery. Evenings, he’s at the bed he rents in Haelga‘s Bunkhouse.
Personality & relationships
Tythis fancies himself quite the lover. He keeps trying his luck with Svana Far-Shield, who shuts him down hard every single time, while he somehow misses that Haelga is openly offering him room in her own bed.
He is also one of the town’s busiest worriers. He nags Niluva Hlaalu about money she owes him (and the skooma she spends it on), warns Marise Aravel that the Thieves Guild is leaning on shopkeepers again, and frets to Madesi that the Imperials are coming to burn the city down. He lends a sympathetic ear to Ungrien about his bully of a boss, and lectures Wujeeta about showing up late for work.
Good to know
Tythis has an odd obsession with footwear: Brand-Shei reckons he has bought around twenty pairs of boots in two years, and he even asks Grelka whether she can repair a pair made of horker skin. Steal from Haelga’s Bunkhouse and he is one of the people who may hire thugs to come after you.
