Valindor is a Bosmer who earns his keep at the Riften Fishery in Riften. He once trained under one of Silvenar’s master armorers, and when his mentor was dying he was urged to take over the business. He chose to wander Tamriel instead – and ended up working in one of Skyrim’s dreariest cities, a decision he now openly second-guesses.
Where to find them
Look for him around the fishery and the harbour. If you own Honeyside, don’t be surprised to see him stroll through your house now and then – he uses it as a shortcut from the harbour into town.
Quests
Valindor is one of the possible targets of New Allegiances (Dawnguard), in which Vingalmo of the Volkihar Clan wants you to turn someone into a vampire for political reasons. Afterwards he mumbles that he doesn’t feel right and needs a lie-down.
Personality & relationships
Valindor is a gentle soul with a strong streak of nostalgia. Riften’s autumn trees remind him of a childhood spent among the towering forests of Valenwood, and like most locals he is fed up with the rot Maven Black-Briar has spread through the city. When Svana Far-Shield worries that he is working himself to the bone at both the meadery and the fishery, he cheerfully insists he finds the work relaxing. He also warns job-seekers not to bother: as far as he knows, nobody is hiring.
