Tonilia is a Redguard member of the Thieves Guild and its fence in the Ragged Flagon under Riften. If you’ve lifted something you can’t sell anywhere else, she’s the one who’ll take it off your hands – minus the guild’s cut, of course. She also acts as a lookout and watches Delvin Mallory‘s back.
Where to find them
Tonilia works in the Ragged Flagon area of the guild’s hideout beneath Riften.
Quests
- Taking Care of Business: Once you join, Tonilia gives you your first set of Thieves Guild armour.
- Armour upgrade: Later in the questline she lets you trade in one piece of your guild armour for an improved version: the cuirass adds carrying capacity, the boots help pickpocketing, the gloves help lockpicking and the hood gets you better prices.
- Deliver Moon Sugar to Ri’saad: She asks you to bring a satchel of moon sugar to Ri’saad to win the Khajiit caravans over as smugglers for the guild.
- Under New Management: She hands over a reward to the new Guild Master.
Services
Tonilia buys stolen goods and occasionally sells lockpicks. Without perks she has 1,000 gold to spend, refreshed every 48 hours, and this rises step by step to 4,000 as you complete Delvin’s special jobs.
Personality & relationships
Tonilia is blunt, unimpressed and all business: follow the rules and get rich, break them and you’re out. She is in a relationship with Vekel the Man, though he wants her to settle down and she’s happy as things are. Dirge suspects she’s seeing Brynjolf on the side, which she tells him is none of his business. Delvin keeps nudging her to start doing jobs; she keeps saying she’ll think about it.
Good to know
Lost your first set of guild armour? A spare set lies around the cistern, and Tonilia will accept it in its place.
