Briehl is a Nord acolyte at the Temple of Mara in Riften and a sincere follower of the goddess of love. He is a humble assistant rather than a priest, and he’ll be the first to tell you so.
Where to find them
He serves inside the Temple of Mara. If you ask him for Mara’s blessing, he politely sends you to the temple’s priests, Maramal and Dinya Balu.
Quests
In The Bonds of Matrimony, Briehl prepares the wedding ceremony between you and your chosen spouse and is present in the temple when you say your vows. So if you got married in Skyrim, he was very likely in the room.
Personality & relationships
He is soft-spoken and modest, happy to explain that the temple is devoted to Mara and the love she shines on everyone. Don’t mistake that for being a pushover, though. If any of the temple’s priests are killed, or you help yourself to coins from the temple chests, Briehl will hire thugs to come after you.
