Hawk Feathers

Feathers from Skyrim's hawks – a light Cure Disease ingredient with three stealth and combat buffs.

Hawk Feathers come from the same birds as Hawk Beak. They’re the only ingredient with Cure Disease as their first effect, so simply eating one cures your diseases – lighter and cheaper to carry than a potion. Fortify Light Armor, One-handed and Sneak make them popular with thieves and assassins too.

Alchemy effects

The effects are listed in the order you discover them by eating the ingredient or using it in a potion. Two ingredients make a potion when they share at least one effect.

  1. Cure Disease – removes every disease you have caught – no need to find a shrine. Also on: Charred Skeever Hide, Mudcrab Chitin, Vampire Dust.
  2. Fortify Light Armor – temporarily raises your Light Armor skill. Also on: Beehive Husk, Honeycomb, Luna Moth Wing, Skeever Tail.
  3. Fortify One-handed – makes your one-handed weapons hit harder for a while. Also on: Bear Claws, Canis Root, Hanging Moss, Rock Warbler Egg, Small Pearl.
  4. Fortify Sneak – makes you harder to detect for a while. Also on: Abecean Longfin, Beehive Husk, Frost Mirriam, Human Flesh, Powdered Mammoth Tusk, Purple Mountain Flower.

All four effects are beneficial, so Hawk Feathers is safe to throw into any potion.

Tips and trivia

The Cure Disease on Hawk Feathers is weaker than on other ingredients, but it’s still enough to clear diseases when eaten.
