Taarie is a High Elf who runs Radiant Raiment, the upscale clothing shop in Solitude, together with her sister Endarie. She dresses the city’s most influential people and is not shy about telling everyone else that their outfits are a disaster – yours included.
Where to find them
Inside Radiant Raiment, where she and Endarie also live.
Quests
Fit for a Jarl: if you mention you’re heading to the Blue Palace, Taarie sees a marketing opportunity. Wear one of her outfits, get Elisif the Fair‘s opinion and mention where it came from. Report back and you keep the clothes – enchantable fine clothes – plus a leveled amount of gold.
Services
She sells clothing at Radiant Raiment.
Follower & marriage
Finish Fit for a Jarl and invest in her shop, and Taarie becomes a marriage candidate – the only Altmer one in the game. As a spouse she opens a store and gives you 100 gold a day, which piles up if you don’t collect it. She also turns much friendlier and finally stops criticising your wardrobe. If you live at Radiant Raiment, everything there becomes yours, but Endarie still trails you around the shop and will call the guards if she sees you picking the lockbox. The sisters keep sharing a bed, so you’ll have to wake Endarie up and quickly sleep to get Lover’s Comfort.
Personality & relationships
Taarie insists she isn’t being rude, just honest – a bad outfit is like an open wound, and she’d want someone to tell her. Even so, she’s the gentler of the two sisters and seems to care more about customers than Endarie does. Their bickering over sloppy sleeves is a highlight of the shop.
Politically she’s a firm Imperial loyalist who sees the Stormcloaks as traitors. At Roggvir‘s execution she boos him and thinks his death should have been slower. Kill her and Endarie sends hired thugs to avenge her.
