Addvar is a Nord fisherman and market stall vendor in Solitude. He is loud about his fish, insisting it is the best in Skyrim, and quiet about almost everything else. Times are tight for his family, and it shows.
Where to find them
During the day he sells at his stall in the Solitude marketplace. He lives in a house in the city with his wife Greta and daughter Svari.
Services
He sells fish and other food. He is also notable for stocking a woodcutter’s axe, the tool you need to chop firewood, which merchants rarely sell. He catches his fish down at the docks, dodging East Empire Company workers and Red Wave thugs.
Personality & relationships
Addvar is a fair, if tired, family man. He and Svari watch the execution of Roggvir, Svari’s uncle, and while he tells her that people must answer for their actions, he admits a child feels what she feels. He snaps back at Vivienne Onis when she says the girl should know her uncle was a traitor. At home he scolds Svari for stealing an apple from Jala, and at dinner he promises Greta they will get by, as always. He has also told Sorex Vinius that he is not originally from Skyrim.
Good to know
He has some surprising grudges. Rough up Taarie or Captain Aldis and he may send you a letter asking for your “assistance”. If you kill Jala, he writes to say he is glad she is gone. If he dies, Greta takes over the stall, and if you rob him or kill Greta, he may send hired thugs your way.
