Xander is an Imperial sailor on the Red Wave, a ship that docks by the East Empire Company Warehouse below Solitude. He’s the crew’s resident dandy: fine clothes, elegant speech and a very high opinion of himself.
Where to find them
Around the docks next to the East Empire Company Warehouse, along with the rest of the Red Wave crew.
Quests
Fishing Job: he can be the mark in a Thieves Guild pickpocketing job, where you have to lift Xander’s Ruby off him.
Hired Muscle: he can also be the target of a brawl job for the Companions. If he’s aboard the ship and won’t fight back, hit him once, leave the ship, come back with your fists sheathed and talk to him again.
Personality & relationships
Xander fled Cyrodiil after a run-in with the law and took to the sea. By his own account he once captained the Argent Raptor until it hit an iceberg north of Windhelm and sank. Now a humble crewman, he concedes that spending his gold on women and gambling may explain the career drop. When shipmates like Eris and Dorian mock his love of finery, he decides they’re just jealous. All three wear the crew’s green face paint.
Good to know
No wreck of the Argent Raptor exists anywhere in the game, so take his tale with a pinch of salt.
