Kayd is a young Redguard boy living in Solitude. His father is the Nord blacksmith Beirand and his mother is Sayma, who owns the shop Bits and Pieces.
Where to find them
You’ll usually see him racing around town with his friends Minette Vinius and Svari. He also lends his mother a hand at the shop – he used to help his dad too, until an unfortunate attempt at using the forge.
Quests
Bound Until Death: Kayd is a guest at Vittoria Vici‘s wedding and is bored silly – no jugglers, no Emperor, just grown-ups standing around. If you plan to shoot the bride from the back of the crowd, keep an eye on him: he likes to turn around and chat, which means he may witness the crime.
Personality & relationships
Kayd isn’t shy with adventurers. He’ll question whether you’re really tough and boast that his papa could beat you up. If Beirand dies by your hand, though, all he’ll say is “Go away.”
Good to know
The town kids may invite you to play tag. A sneaky way to win is to run into the Castle Dour courtyard, where the kids can’t follow.
