Shahvee is an Argonian woman who works the tanning rack at the Windhelm Docks, just outside the walls of Windhelm. Life for Argonians here is hard, but Shahvee has decided that being happy is a choice – and she chooses it. She has a habit of talking about herself in the third person, and a past she only admits to once she trusts you.
Where to find them
She is usually at the tanning rack on the docks, enjoying what she cheerfully calls fresh air for the gills.
Quests
Shahvee’s Amulet: she began praying to Zenithar for better fortune for her people, but thieves stole her amulet of the god almost as soon as she bought it. Recover it from the bandits – it could be in Uttering Hills Cave, Gallows Rock, Stony Creek Cave or Lost Knife Hideout – and she confesses she was a thief before she found Zenithar, then teaches you a few of her old tricks. The quest can be stubborn to start; building your reputation through the main quest seems to help.
Blood on the Ice: if you accuse Wuunferth the Unliving and the killings continue, Shahvee is one of the Butcher’s potential victims – even though, as an Argonian, she’s an odd choice for his purposes.
Follower & marriage
After her amulet quest, wear an Amulet of Mara and she can be courted. She is the only female Argonian marriage candidate. Once married, she runs a shop that earns 100 gold a day, which builds up until you collect your share. Fun detail: the very amulet you rescued may end up for sale in her stock. Be sure to show up at the wedding – she has no way to forgive you if you miss it.
Personality & relationships
Shahvee is warm, upbeat and polite, calling you an honored friend. She knows Skyrim isn’t kind to her people, but she’s sure their fortunes will turn.
