Ulundil is a High Elf who runs Windhelm Stables, just outside the walls of Windhelm. Forget the stereotype of the snooty Altmer: Ulundil is polite, chatty and actually seems to enjoy the cold air of Skyrim, which he says does wonders for the lungs.
Where to find them
He spends opening hours outside at the stables. He shares his life there with his wife, Arivanya.
Services
Ulundil sells a horse for 1,000 gold, and it comes saddled and ready to ride. He sounds just a little offended that you’re only offering the asking price, but takes the coin anyway. Once you’ve bought his last horse, he has nothing more to sell, and if you back out he’ll suggest you never had the money in the first place.
Personality & relationships
Ask him about the dragons and he quotes his father’s advice that there’s no point worrying about what you can’t change. If a dragon gets him, so be it, but he isn’t going to live in fear. He’s also quick to apologise if he’s in your way, warns you about the smell inside the stable, and mentions he’d love to get to know you better.
Good to know
Steal from him and get caught, and he’ll send hired thugs after you. If you’re in the Thieves Guild, one of the contracts may send you after his garnet.
