Rorlund is the Nord high priest of the Temple of the Divines in Solitude. He is married to Freir, who also tends to the faithful at the temple, and he greets every visitor with a warm welcome to worship freely.
Where to find them
He spends most of his time inside the temple, though now and then he wanders the market stalls on errands – he’ll ask you to come see him at the temple later.
Quests
Bound Until Death: Rorlund officiates the marriage of Vittoria Vici and Asgeir Snow-Shod. He’s pleased the couple chose a public reception so the whole city can celebrate, and notes that the ceremony itself was quick because the couple cared more about the party. The murder leaves him shaken.
Personality & relationships
Rorlund is pious and a bit stiff. He worries that the war has thinned out his congregation, though Freir points out she’s busier than ever. He clashes gently with the priestess Silana Petreia, who wants the temple to help Solitude’s poor; Rorlund believes the needy should lift themselves up, but lets her follow her conscience. He also buys a few bottles of Spiced Wine from Evette San – strictly for ceremonial use, of course.
Good to know
He calls himself a priest of the Eight Divines, switching to the Nine if the Stormcloaks take Solitude. At the Burning of King Olaf he wryly remarks that Sanguine would enjoy the festival. If you’re caught stealing Roggvir’s amulet from the catacombs, he may hire thugs to come after you.
