Tundra Cotton grows on the open plains around Whiterun, where it soaks up what little rain falls. Nords weave cloth from it, and alchemists like it because every effect is beneficial: Resist Magic, Fortify Magicka, Fortify Block and Fortify Barter.
Alchemy effects
The effects are listed in the order you discover them by eating the ingredient or using it in a potion. Two ingredients make a potion when they share at least one effect.
- Resist Magic – reduces the damage and effects of hostile magic for a while. Also on: Bleeding Crown, Chicken’s Egg, Crimson Nirnroot, Hagraven Claw, Lavender, Nirnroot, Void Salts, Wisp Wrappings.
- Fortify Magicka – raises your maximum Magicka for a while. Also on: Briar Heart, Ectoplasm, Histcarp, Jazbay Grapes, Red Mountain Flower, Void Salts.
- Fortify Block – lets your block absorb more damage for a while. Also on: Bleeding Crown, Briar Heart, Honeycomb, Pearl, Slaughterfish Scales.
- Fortify Barter – gets you better prices from merchants for a short time. Also on: Butterfly Wing, Dragon’s Tongue, Hagraven Claw.
