Nord Mead

The everyday mead of Skyrim: a cheap bottle that restores 15 Stamina at the cost of slower Stamina recovery for 30 seconds.

Nord Mead is the plain, common mead of Skyrim. At 5 gold per bottle it is cheap, though at 0.5 weight it is heavier than the premium brands.

Effects

  • Restores 15 Stamina
  • Stamina regenerates 30% slower for 30 seconds

The instant 15 Stamina can rescue a sprint or fuel one more power attack, but for the next 30 seconds your Stamina bar refills noticeably more slowly. That makes mead best used at the end of an exertion rather than at the start of a long fight.

Where to find it

Nord Mead cannot be cooked, and the game data used here does not name specific places or merchants for it.

Good to know

Compared with Black-Briar Mead, Nord Mead restores 5 less Stamina and has a milder penalty (30% instead of 40%), but is worth only a fifth as much. Other branded brews include Honningbrew Mead. For a penalty-free top-up, a Restore Stamina potion is the cleaner choice.
