Thadgeir is a retired Nord warrior in Falkreath and the brother of the ex-Jarl Dengeir of Stuhn. He shares Dengeir’s House with his brother and their maid Tekla, and serves as the calm voice in a house run by a very suspicious old man.
Where to find them
At Dengeir’s House in Falkreath, or out among the graves – most of his friends are buried there, so he visits the cemetery often.
Quests
Delivery – Thadgeir has just given his old war companion Berit a burial by fire, because Berit hated the thought of lying cold in the ground. He asks you to take Berit’s Ashes to Runil, the priest of Arkay, so the proper blessings can be said. Runil pays you when you deliver them. Of course, the ashes are also an alchemy ingredient, but let’s assume you’re a decent person.
Personality & relationships
Thadgeir is weary and a bit nostalgic, remembering a time when Falkreath was full of wanderers and warriors, and seeing the town’s graveyard as a record of Skyrim’s long history of war. He is patient with his brother, though he warns visitors to take Dengeir’s words with a grain of salt. When Dengeir once again suspects Tekla of talking to Siddgeir, Thadgeir tells him to drop it – and promptly gets accused himself. He also makes a point of telling Tekla she’s doing a fine job.
