Lond is a Nord miner in Dawnstar who works the smelter outside the Quicksilver Mine. He has been mining his whole life and considers Quicksilver about as much a home as anywhere else.
Where to find them
Look for him at the smelter just outside the Quicksilver Mine, where he processes ore for his boss, Leigelf.
Personality & relationships
Lond is a man of few words. Ask what he does and you’ll get a summary of his entire life in one breath: he mines, he smelts, and that’s about it. Like everyone else in town, he’s been robbed of sleep by the nightmares, and he jokes that a decent rest would make him feel wealthier than a king.
He is fiercely loyal to Leigelf. When the mine owner thanks him for sticking around, Lond shrugs that Dawnstar is home and this is his job, so where else would he go? Leigelf replies that he wishes his wife were as simple as Lond, which Lond decides to take as a compliment.
He’s also the only one brave enough to ask Leigelf what actually started the feud with Beitild and the rival Iron-Breaker Mine. Leigelf refuses to talk about it, and Lond’s follow-up – whether Leigelf just doesn’t know – gets the same stonewall answer. Lond also tells his boss he is working far too hard and should go home.
Good to know
His full name in the game files is Lond Northstrider, although nobody in Dawnstar ever calls him that.
