Abelone is a Nord woman who works as a maid at the Windpeak Inn in Dawnstar. She isn’t much of a conversationalist: almost everything she says is a friendly nudge to go inside and speak with her boss, Thoring, who runs the inn.

Personality & relationships
Abelone’s world revolves around the inn and its owner, and she seems perfectly content to leave all the talking to Thoring. She carries an iron dagger and wears a cowl, simple clothes and boots, so she isn’t entirely defenceless if trouble comes through the door.
The inn she points you towards is a busy place in troubled times: it is where the priest Erandur tries to calm the sleepless townsfolk, and where Karita sings and serves the mead. Abelone just makes sure you find the door.
Good to know
- Before Waking Nightmare is finished, most of Dawnstar moans about the terrible dreams plaguing the town. Abelone is one of the few who doesn’t mention them – and you can’t ask her about them either.
