Ravam Verethi is a Dunmer sailor serving aboard The Sea Squall, the ship tied up in Dawnstar‘s harbour. He’s in it strictly for the coin, and he wants everyone within earshot to know he isn’t happy about it.
Where to find them
He’s on board The Sea Squall at the Dawnstar docks, alongside the rest of the crew, including the old Nord sailor Guthrum.
Personality & relationships
Ravam’s favourite pastime is complaining about his captain, Captain Wayfinder. As he sees it, he is a seasoned sailor taking orders from a boy who only got the ship because his mother died and left it to him. Ravam needs the gold, so he stays – but he keeps saying he’ll find a new ship someday, then admits that staying put is just easier.
His remarks have a distinctly sinister edge, though. He muses that if the ship could be inherited once, maybe it could be inherited again – if the captain were to die. Nothing ever comes of it in the game, but it’s not the kind of thing you want your first mate muttering below deck.
His attitude makes a nice contrast with Guthrum, who also thinks the captain is inexperienced but believes he’s slowly learning the ropes.
Good to know
Ravam has no quests or services. He’s pure flavour – one of those background characters whose idle chatter tells a little story all on its own.
