Keerava is an Argonian who runs The Bee and Barb, the main inn of Riften. She’s friendly enough to paying customers and has little patience for anyone else. She works alongside her lover Talen-Jei, who waits tables, and her family runs a farm back in Morrowind.
Where to find them
She works behind the counter at The Bee and Barb, and that’s where she lives her life – serving, scolding and counting coin.
Quests
Taking Care of Business – Brynjolf sends you to collect money Keerava owes, and she flatly refuses. You can win her over with a brawl, or learn from Talen-Jei about her family’s farm in Morrowind and use it as leverage. Either way she pays up. Keerava stays essential until this quest is done.
A Cornered Rat – if you’d rather not ask Brynjolf where an old man might hide in Riften, ask Keerava. She points you to the Ratway and the Ragged Flagon below it, a place she describes as somewhere lowlifes get drunk and stab each other.
Talen-Jei also asks you to help finish a special wedding ring so he can propose to her, a small side errand.
Services
As innkeeper she rents out a room and sells food and drink. Ask her where to learn magic and she’ll send you to the College in Winterhold or the Jarl’s court wizard.
Personality & relationships
Keerava is practical and blunt. She tells Indaryn that his workers may walk out, mocks Romlyn Dreth‘s ever-growing tall tales about his ancestor, and sighs about Maven Black-Briar raising mead prices – yet she wouldn’t dare stock a rival brand. She and Talen-Jei are saving to leave Riften but never quite have enough. When Maramal starts preaching against drink in her inn, the couple politely steer him back to his temple.
Good to know
Hand her a copy of The Warmth of Mara and she’ll tell you the only thing she worships is the good old Septim. She also reportedly told Brynjolf to go jump off the pier, which explains a lot.
