Aslfur is a Nord who serves as steward of Morthal. He is also married to the Jarl, Idgrod Ravencrone, which makes him both her right hand and her most devoted bodyguard in spirit. If you want the Jarl’s ear, expect to go through him first.
Where to find them
He lives and works in Highmoon Hall with his wife and children.
Quests
Ask Aslfur for work and he can give you a bounty, and he also pays out for bounties completed in the area. He is also in the middle of the town’s grumbling: outside the hall you may see him trying to calm Jorgen and Thonnir, who want something done about the wizard Falion.
If Gorm ends up dead by your hand, Aslfur may send you a note of thanks. Bring it up and he admits writing it, then insists the conversation never happened.
Should the Stormcloaks take Morthal in the civil war, or the town be handed over at the peace talks, Aslfur and the rest of the court go into exile at the Blue Palace in Solitude.
Personality & relationships
Dutiful and a little weary, Aslfur complains that too many people bother his wife with petty problems and then fail to understand her advice. In private he quietly raises the Falion rumours with Idgrod and worries about their son Joric, who has been calling out Falion’s name in his sleep. Their daughter is Idgrod the Younger. He even makes an awkward attempt at small talk with Jonna about her struggling inn, which goes about as well as you would expect. In exile he fears for his family and for the town they left behind.
