Helgi was a little Nord girl from Morthal, the daughter of the lumberjack Hroggar. She and her mother died when their house burned down. The town suspects Hroggar set the fire to be with Alva, since he moved in with her right afterwards, but the real culprit was the vampire Laelette.
Where to find them
Her ghost haunts the burned-out ruins of her old home in Morthal during Laid to Rest. Later she makes one more appearance near the exit of Movarth’s Lair.
Quests
Helgi is central to Laid to Rest. Her ghost is innocent and seemingly unaware of how grim her family’s story is. She invites you to play hide and seek, and finding her leads you over a rocky hill west of the house to her dug-up coffin, where Laelette is waiting. Tell her you have avenged her and her mother and she replies that perhaps that is why she feels so sleepy now. After you kill Movarth, she appears one last time to thank you for making her mother feel better, then fades away.
Good to know
- Helgi is an Icelandic name, though it is normally a boy’s name; Helga is the female form.
- A letter in Anise’s Cabin is addressed to someone named Helgi, inviting her to form a coven. Whether it means this Helgi is unknown.
