Grimvar Cruel-Sea is a Nord boy in Windhelm, son of Torsten Cruel-Sea and Hillevi Cruel-Sea. His father wants him to become a farmer or a sailor. Grimvar has other plans: he wants to be a warrior, ideally one who kills a dragon.
Where to find them
He lives in the House of Clan Cruel-Sea and is usually out and about in the city with his nanny, Idesa Sadri.
Quests
On your first visit to Windhelm you can overhear Grimvar pestering Idesa about rumours that Aventus Aretino is performing the Black Sacrament to summon the Dark Brotherhood. She eventually admits it is true, which is a handy nudge towards the quest Innocence Lost.
Personality & relationships
Grimvar is proud of his important father, who even talks to the Jarl sometimes, and says the Argonians at the docks are nice to him – which is lucky for them, he adds. He had a sister, Fjotli, who was killed. Like other kids in Skyrim he may ask you to play tag or hide and seek, and if he sees you cast a spell he might ask you to make him invisible. You can refuse, or pretend you did it; nothing happens either way.
