Innocence Lost

Innocence Lost is how most players find the Dark Brotherhood – or rather, how the Brotherhood finds them. Rumours in Windhelm talk about a boy, Aventus Aretino, performing the Black Sacrament to summon an assassin.

Walkthrough

Break into the Aretino Residence in Windhelm and talk to Aventus. He wants Grelod the Kind, the cruel matron of Honorhall Orphanage in Riften, dead. Do it – the orphans will cheer – and tell Aventus. A few nights later, while you sleep, the Brotherhood comes calling.

Reward

The Aretino Family Heirloom.
