Nura Snow-Shod is a Nord priestess of Talos in Riften and part of the Snow-Shod clan. She looks after the city’s Shrine of Talos and greets passers-by with blessings in his name. Beneath her gentle manner sits a fierce loyalty to Talos and a deep grudge against the Empire.
Where to find them
She normally tends the Shrine of Talos in Riften. If the Imperials take the city in the Civil War, or Riften is handed to them during Season Unending, she stops appearing at the shrine and stays inside Snow-Shod Manor.
Quests
In Bound Until Death, Nura attends her son Asgeir Snow-Shod‘s wedding to an Imperial bride. She insists she’s happy for him, while privately hoping the bride is up to producing plenty of grandchildren. She can be killed in the chaos.
Personality & relationships
Nura is married to Vulwulf Snow-Shod and is also the mother of Unmid Snow-Shod. She trained her daughter Lilija as a healer, hoping she’d one day take over the shrine. Instead, Lilija ran off to tend the wounded for the Stormcloaks and died within months; the family never recovered her body. That loss fuels Nura’s view that the Empire has taken enough from her family and won’t take her homeland too.
She’s the softer parent at home, telling Vulwulf to go easier on Asgeir and let him follow his own dreams rather than march off to war.
Good to know
If you kill her husband, she may send hired thugs after you or demand an apology – refuse, and she turns hostile.
