Orgnar is a Nord of very few words who cooks and tends bar at the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood. He runs the place alongside Delphine and doesn’t care what she gets up to when she isn’t behind the bar.
Where to find them
Behind the bar of the Sleeping Giant Inn. Ask him about a room and you’ll be told to go talk to Delphine.
Quests
Orgnar isn’t a quest giver himself, but Delphine’s double life rubs off on him. After you clear out Bleak Falls Barrow, Delphine is often “out”, and Orgnar tells you the inn is closed but the bar is open – you’re welcome to nap at a table. She is, of course, secretly one of the Blades. Ask about her secret activities after A Blade in the Dark begins and he says it’s none of his business, and none of yours either. When Delphine finally leaves for Sky Haven Temple, she hands the inn over to him.
He can also turn up as the target in a Companions job where you have to beat him in a brawl.
Services
He sells food and drink like any barkeep, plus a few alchemy ingredients such as snowberries, wheat and swamp fungal pods.
Personality & relationships
Orgnar isn’t looking to make friends, and his customer service reflects it: the food is hot, he never said it was good. Delphine keeps reminding him that the ale is going bad, the corn is low and the entranceway needs sweeping, and he keeps answering “yep” and doing it later. Ask him where to learn magic and he suggests the court wizard is safer than the College. Embry is one of his regulars.
Good to know
- Even after Delphine has left for good, he may still tell you to ask her about a room.
- Steal from the inn and he may send hired thugs after you.
- He shares a voice actor with Farkas.
